Depending on your needs and preferred workflow, you can access scouting notes:
- From the Scouting category
- From the Field activities
- From the Feed
- From the map
- From email notifications
- From the task details
The order in which scouting notes are displayed on the scouting list depends on the scouting time. In the feed, the notes are sorted by the creation date.
1. Access scouting notes from the Scouting category
Log in to Arvorum and click on the Scouting icon on the left menu bar. You will see the red indicator if there are notes that require your attention. (The number shows how many unread notes or comments you have.)
Here, by default, you can see All of the notes from the fields on the farm you are displaying. Depending on your access level, you may only view or edit them. You can switch to Assigned to me by clicking on the tab at the top of the list.
- To open the details, click on the selected note. You will see the field connected to the scouting note on the map. If the pin or area is defined, it will be marked there.
- To return to the list of Assigned to me / All scouting notes, click “X” on the top right corner of the scouting note view.
2. Access scouting notes from the Field activities
If you want to access scouting notes related to only one particular field, log in to Arvorum and click on the selected field displayed on the list.
Scroll down to access the Field Activities section. Click on the Scouting tab. Depending on your access level, you may only view the notes or edit them.
To open the note’s details, click on the selected one. If the pin or area is defined, you will see it on the map.
To return to the field details, click “X” on the top right corner of the scouting note view.
3. Access scouting notes from the Feed
If you want to access all scouting notes created on a given farm without switching between the fields, go to the Feed. Here you see all of the notes created for all fields. You can filter the Feed by topic. Click on the list and select Scouting notes. To open the detailed view, click on the note's summary.
To return to the Feed, click “X” on the top right corner of the scouting note view.
4. Access scouting notes from the map
Log in to Arvorum and open the field view by clicking on the selected one from the list. Next, click on the toggle at the upper right corner of the screen to turn on the Scouting view.
Now, you may see two types of pins on the fields. The one with a dot indicates a point on the field with the exact latitude and longitude determined. A pin with a square indicates a note referring to the marked area. Pins may have different colours - they are set while adding a note (colours don’t convey any information; however, you can use them to group your scouting notes).
Click on a pin to access a note. The details open on the left side of the screen.
Remember that you will see only the georeferenced scouting notes on the map! Notes without a pin or area are not displayed there. To access them go to the Scouting view, Field Activities or open the Feed. |
5. Access scouting notes from the email notifications
There are 3 types of email notifications concerning scouting notes:
- All new scouting notes
- Assigned to you
- New comment
By default, you will receive the email notification when you are assigned to the scouting note. You can change notifications settings to receive emails on other events as well.
To access a scouting note, open an email and click on the Read the note button.
You will be redirected to the scouting note details in Arvorum.
6. Access scouting notes from the task details
You can create a task based on a scouting note. This way, you don't have to enter data twice. If the task is created based on a scouting note, you will see the Connected Scouting Note in the task details view. Click on the arrow to open the note's detailed view.
To return to the task details view, click “X” on the top right corner of the scouting note.
